About Me

Born and raised in Metro Detroit. I am a graduate of Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University with a degree in chemical physics. As a student, I did research in math, physics, and computer science—when I learned to love the power of software. I am skilled in C++, C, and Python, though I do have experience with other languages. What excites me most about software the limitless applications of VR and AR technologies and am passionate about using these technologies to improve people's quality of life. In my spare time, I like to develop for the Gameboy Advance.

Relevant Work History

Blue Waters Internship

Blue Waters is a petascale supercomputer - one of the most powerful in the world. As a Blue Waters intern, I worked with researchers out of MSU and UCSD on a new highly-scalable object-oriented adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) framework called Cello. I also worked on a “Petascale-and-beyond” version of the cosmology software Enzo called Enzo-P. This experience taught me a lot about computer hardware, and how loads are balanced on a massive scale.

Calculus Learning Assistant

While attending MSU, I worked as an Undergraduate Learning Assistant. I taught LB 119 (calculus II) and LB 220 (calculus III). In the Fall of 2015, I was awarded an Outstanding Learning Assistant Award.

Current

I am currently looking for software development-oriented positions in the Seattle and Detroit areas and will be available in January 2019.
